I finally finished stitching a couple of pieces that I had wanted to do for a while.
They are from Valerie Pfeiffer's line of chickadees--Sitting Pretty and Berry Chick-Chat.
They are adorable! And I'd love to do the whole lot of them!
Problem is, there isn't enough wall space in our apartment for them. I have very limited "empty" space.
I've never had that problem before, and frankly, I don't know what I can do about it.
Alternate--every month or two change the pictures?
Pillows? No, hubby works with cars...and wood...and I've tried the pillow route before. Disaster!
Afghan? Same as above. Grease stains do *not* come out completely, no matter what I tried!
Gifts? I know a few people that would love them, but I don't want to give them away!
Move to a bigger place? Done that--45 times in 50 years! No, next time they will have to drag me from here, kicking and screaming!
*Sigh*
This is why I have oodles piled up waiting to be framed. Don' t know what exactly to do with them!
I know there's a solution out there...just can't think of it right now.

I love your chickadees, they are adorable. I have never lived in one place longer then 4 years and usually 2-3 was the max. I am not leaving or moving again. They will have to take me out on a stretcher if they want me out of here. Going on a new record of 5 years here.
ReplyDeleteI love your creations and your blog and wanted to thank you for your visit to mine. I hope you will come often

Those chickadees are too cute for words! I just love those cute chubby little birds!! They are ADORABLE!!!
ReplyDeleteI think a rotating gallery of your framed needlework would be a great way to have it all seen. You could have seasonal "showings" and maybe invite your friends for tea each time you change the artwork =-)
Thank you for stopping by my blog and I hope you stop for a visit again. I'll be having a few more giveaways in the next few weeks!
I love the chickadees also! I don't do much cross stitching any more because of quilting, but still enjoy it. I think rotating is a good idea or putting up little framed pictures all over - maybe you can find some odd places for them?
ReplyDeleteThey are too beautiful not to do something. How about scrapbook them? How nice to have an album on the coffee table for all to see, and they would keep clean.

OH how sweet thank you for sharing the giveaway on your sidebar

Those are so pretty and I like the idea of changing things around every so often. It keeps it interesting for you.
ReplyDeleteI used to do lots of cross-stitching but that repetitive motion became too much for my hands with their carpal tunnel syndrome to take! Typing is not great either though. lol

ReplyDeletethanks for stopping by my blog. I am still working at it and some days things just go great. Today is one of them. I love your chickadees cross stitch. I don't do counted cross stitch any longer, the eyes can't take it and I constantly loose my place, UGH. But I do love to do stitchery of all forms. I am following you now and will keep track of what you have going on.
